The
Schola San Marco®
Italian Sword in the Fiore Tradition
The Segno from Fiore Dei Liberi's
Flos Duellatorum
The
Schola San Marco®
is a group of western martial tradition study groups scattered across
the country that are devoted to the research, study, and diligent
practice of the western martial traditions, as passed down to us
through manuals and treatises of Italian Masters of the art of
Defense from ages past. Our studies are especially focused on the
works of Fiore dei Liberi, c. 1410AD, the first know manual written
by an Italian master.  The ultimate goal of this group is to be able
to successfully engage in historically based competitive combat
with weaponry of the late medieval and early renaissance periods.
